Pancakes

These will make your weekend. The secret? Patience, that and fresh baking soda/powder. Have all three and you will be rewarded with fluffy deliciousness.
Mise en Place
Staples
- 1 cupAP Flour
- 1 1/2 tbssugar
- 3/4 tspbaking soda
- 3/4 tspbaking powder
Dairy
- 1large egg
- 1 1/4 cupbuttermilk
- 2 tbsmelted butter
- 3/4 tspkosher salt
- SprayCanola Oil
Equipment
- GriddleAt Medium Low
- 300Degree Oven
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, powder, salt, and soda
- In a separate bowl, crack egg, and beat lightly
- Add eggs and buttermilk to dry ingredients, and mix till it just comes together
- Spray griddle with oil, and using a measuring device, pour batter on to the griddle to create pancakes
- Be patient. Wait till they bubble. Once they do, check progress by peeking underneath. Once they look golden brown and delicious, flip.
- After 2 minutes, check pancakes. If golden, evac to plate and keep warm in oven
- Repeat steps 4-6 till all the batter is gone
- Eat!
