Cheese Straws

Name: Cheese Straws
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups – 4 oz of extra sharp cheddar; 4 tbs butter; 1 tbs half and half; 3/4 cup flour; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/2 tsp pepper flakes

A great snack, easy to make and super tasty.

Mise en Place

Dairy

1 1/2 cups– 4 oz of extra sharp cheddar
4 tbsbutter
1 tbshalf and half

Staples

3/4 cupflour
1/2 tspsalt
1/2 tsppepper flakes

Directions

food processor – cheese, butter, flour, salt, flakes – 5x 5 sec pulses to coarse crumbs add half and half process till dough ~10 secs
on floured surface using floured roling pin, roll into rectangle 8×10 1/8 inch thick
cut into long strips 1/4inch wide
transfer strips to sheet pan, 1/4 inch appart
bake middle rack 12-15 mins, ends barely browne
cool and serve
